Summer Time Deckhand Needed for Private Family Yacht - CLOSED
Route: Based out of Jupiter, FL ---> Charleston, SC ---> Newport, RI ---> Nantucket, MA
A deckhand is needed for the summer months on board a private family yacht. Primary duties include cleaning and maintenance of the exterior of the vessel. It is essential that the deckhand can perform assigned tasks efficiently with a positive attitude in addition to interacting with owners and guests in a professional manner.
Job Responsibilities:
- Cleanling of the yacht, wash downs, stainless polishing, waxing
- Assisting in maintenance projects; sanding and taping up for varnishing or painting, caulking, filling
- Continued learning of yacht maintenance, operations and systems; line handling, tender driving, navigation, safety, water sports
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of deckhand experience, excellent work ethic, and a positive attitude. We are looking for somebody who has a professional appearance and who can work with a team.
Candidate Must:
- Pass a full criminal background check
- Have excellent references
- Be comfortable working in a team environment
- Be coachable, able to learn on the job, able to take direction
Engineering experience, extensive fishing knowledge, tender driving license, and carpentary skillls all a plus.
Benefits
