A wonderful gentleman is looking for a valet/butler to support his homes in DC, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Aruba. Mr. is the CEO of a large N.C.-based company. He is a kind and generous individual who wants to help people succeed in life.
Our client is looking to hire a candidate that can help pack, unpack, and travel for extended periods- up to three months. At times, the valet/butler will travel ahead to each residence, stock the home, and ensure that everything is in place for our client's arrival. Our client is practical, in his mid-40's, and would like to find a candidate who is active and current with clothing, technology and confident self-managing. On arrival, the valet/butler would stock the home with all required F&B needs, ensure that everything is in date, check the functionality of the home, making sure that all TVs, remotes, electronics, and Wi-fi are functioning correctly. Also, duties such as home maintenance to include cleaning, basic cooking, and running errands are required. Since our client is extremely busy and detailed, a candidate would also need to have excellent proven time management skills and an eye for detail.
While at each property, the candidate will have a private room and bathroom within the client’s residence. The homes consist of a two-bedroom apartment in DC, four-bedroom home in Carey, NC, and similar sized home in Aruba. Our client is building a new 11-acre estate in Chapel Hill, DC, and a new home in Aruba.
Clear communication is essential- working with the client's executive assistant, working on the computer, coordinating travel, car service, reservations, driving our client, ordering of specific food requirements, and tracking clothing purchases, repair and inventory would be essential. Thinking ahead prior to traveling is essential, ensuring that coats and warm clothes are at the appropriate locations, sun creams, etc.
Prior experience as a valet would be ideal. Our client would like for the candidate to blend in, socially, into his corporate and personal life. The role is not a formal role, but an understanding of boundaries and privacy would be essential.
