Job Title: Short Term Chef

Location: E. Hampton, New York

Duration: June to August (exact dates to be determined)

Living Arrangements: Provided

A wonderful long-term clief is looking to hire a seasoned Chef to cook three meals a day, 6 days a week during the summer. The family is very friendly, informal on a daily basis, but may need Chef to prepare a formal dinner party a couple of times over the summer. The family comprises of the father, a 16 year old boy and 9 year old little girl. The family are of American/Persian background, and enjoy all food types. 

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook three meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) for a household of up to 6 individuals, including the principal and occasional additional guests. There are housekeepers who can assist with service, set-up and break-down.
• Plan menus in consultation with the household to accommodate dietary restrictions, preferences, and seasonal ingredients.
• Source high-quality ingredients, ensuring freshness and sustainability where possible.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all safety and sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and coordinate deliveries as needed.
• Assist with occasional entertaining events, such as small gatherings or dinner parties.
• Work collaboratively with other household staff members to ensure smooth operation of daily routines.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in private residences or high-end hospitality settings.
• Strong culinary skills and creativity in menu planning and presentation.
• Knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and dietary requirements.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional demeanor.
• Flexibility to accommodate changing schedules and last-minute requests.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.

Benefits:

• $6,000 + a week depending on experience
