Senior Facilities Manager – Texas

The Senior Facilities Manager will oversee the operational systems across multiple private residences and ranches in Texas. This role involves managing both commercial and residential systems, ensuring timely maintenance, repairs, and installations, as well as sourcing and supervising various trades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage maintenance programs and schedules for multiple properties and systems.
  • Review and interpret system data, blueprints, and reports to assess performance requirements and equipment life cycles.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of facility and equipment specifications, operational performance, and maintenance history.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for staffing, maintenance, equipment inventory, and capital expenditures.
  • Coordinate infrastructure expansions and upgrades, evaluating design requirements and system performance.
  • Improve operational efficiencies across various systems and properties.
  • Perform and supervise the installation and repair of fixtures, appliances, and equipment, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
  • Manage commercial and high-end residential systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware, masonry, water features, waste management, and home automation/lighting systems.
  • Be available for emergency response as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; vocational/trade school certification essential. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience in facilities management, construction management, or facilities engineering. Estate or property management experience is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in plumbing, HVAC, heating, and electrical systems.
  • Experience with commercial and high-end residential construction.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality practices.
  • Hands-on experience with installing and repairing appliances.
  • Knowledge of high-end finishes and materials.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management abilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regular movement across properties, including standing, walking, sitting, and frequent use of hands and arms.
  • Involves climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
  • Protective gear (e.g., eye protection, safety shoes) may be required.
  • Ability to lift, carry, or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires extensive travel (up to 75%), primarily by driving, with long periods of physical activity.

Work Environment:

  • Work in diverse settings, including outdoor ranch environments, often in varying weather conditions.

Travel:

  • Frequent travel required, up to 75% of the time, primarily by car.

Benefits:

  • Salary $130,000 to $150,000 D/O/E
