A young family living in Manhattan seeks to hire a manager with a security/driver background.
The family lives in a 3,550 sq. ft. Manhattan apartment and is visible in the social scene in NY and the Hamptons. The entrepreneurial couple has two children, a nanny, a housekeeper, and an additional part-time cleaning staff in place. This position would act as point of control.
The ideal candidate would take the children to/from school and run errands. Time permitting, the role would involve airport runs, collecting the principles from their office, and drop people off throughout the day at different NY locations.
This individual would manage the house, coordinate any repairs/maintenance, help the housekeepers - pick up groceries and dry cleaning, manage the children’s calendars, and make sure they go to the doctor, dentist, etc.
A candidate with a prior security background who presents well and understands boundaries would be highly desirable. The couple is informal and would like to find a chameleon who can blend in, is always professional, attend an event with the principal or act as chaperone to ‘A’ list fashion events.
Additional responsibilities would include managing and scheduling staff and ensuring everything is handled. With this role, there is a lot of freedom to bring in the right support staff as needed.
Prior experience working with highly visible principals advantageous.
Must be physically in shape, present well, articulate, tech-savvy, can self-manage and take the initiative, resourceful, have a proactive approach, be approachable, and with no ego.
- 50 hours a week with breaks through the day. Monday through Friday with possible weekend coverage as needed..
