Essential Requirements:
- Proactive, self-sufficient, and experienced housekeeper/cook with prior experience in large private residences.
- Good standard of family cooking.
- Driver’s license, non-smoker, and fluent in English (Spanish is a bonus).
- Team player with experience supervising other staff.
- Child and dog friendly.
We are seeking an experienced housekeeper for a large family home in Gibraltar. The family consists of five members, including three school-aged children (ages 13, 10, and 8). This vibrant family leads an active and busy lifestyle, and the role involves daily preparation of fresh family meals and general housekeeping duties. The family also has a small dog.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing breakfast and ensuring the children are dressed and ready for school in their uniforms.
- Preparing light lunches and healthy evening meals for the family.
- Managing daily housekeeping tasks in coordination with another housekeeper.
- Handling children's laundry, school uniforms, and wardrobe management.
- Occasionally assisting with school runs and after-school activities.
Ideal Candidate:
- Fluent in English (Spanish language skills are a big plus).
- Confident in the kitchen with strong cooking abilities.
- Comfortable with children’s laundry and light housekeeping duties.
- Organized, nurturing, and able to engage with the children daily.
Working Schedule:
- Monday: 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm
- Tuesday to Thursday: 7:00 am - 11:00 am and 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm
- Friday: 7:00 am - 11:00 am
- Weekends are off.
This is a permanent, long-term position offering a salary of £40,000 to £45,000 gross per year. Accommodation is provided in a single annex. A clean driving license and an enhanced DBS check are required. Fluency in English is essential for this role.
