Ranch Manager and/or Ranch Couple

Ranch Manager needed for a well-known cow/calf and cutting horse operation located one hour west of Fort Worth.  Integrity, experience, professionalism, and communication are essential to manage day-to-day operations on this ranch.  Non-smoking personnel with neat appearance a must to represent ranch.

Duties to include:

• Manage cow herd, including tagging, rotation, culling, and marketing.
• Manage grounds including mowing, haying, fence repair, minor plumbing and electrical, and RO water system.
• Manage horses including foaling, halter breaking, shots, barn upkeep, cleaning stalls, hauling, and riding and exercising.
• Maintain horse records including schedules for feeding, worming, and trimming.
• Manage employees and vendors.
• Maintain cow records and feed reports.
• Stock property structures with supplies, change filters, and inspect regularly.
• Oversee any special events required by the owner, including scheduling and management of event vendors.
• Manage and maintain the principal residence, act as point of contact dealing with vendors etc.
• Oversee one full-time ranch hand, and schedule support as needed.
• Provide approved invoices for payment and maintain weekly and monthly reports.

Must undergo background and credit check prior to hire

Salary: $80 to $100 for an individual, up to $140,000 for a couple without commitments

5-10 years minimum experience required

 

Interviewing for the role immediately as the current manager is leaving the state for personal reasons. Start date after January 1, 2024.

Local candidates in Texas preferred. Possible relocation for highly skilled candidates with cattle and equestrian experience.
