We are seeking an exceptional Private Chef for a distinguished family based in Los Angeles, with occasional travel to Santa Ynez. The ideal candidate will be a culinary professional with Michelin-star-level experience, a passion for excellence, and a team-player attitude. Applicants must be based in Los Angeles and have a proven ability to thrive in a formal, fully staffed home environment without ego.

Position Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a chef to take ownership of their role, showcasing their skills through the creation of extraordinary meals using the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. The family values a chef who is meticulous in their craft, creative in their culinary approach, and collaborative in working with other staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare healthy, gourmet meals tailored to specific dietary needs and preferences.
• Develop, plan, and execute diverse menus, incorporating international culinary influences.
• Source fresh, organic, and premium-quality ingredients (both locally and internationally).
• Manage meal-related budgets and handle procurement of ingredients and kitchen supplies.
• Accommodate intimate dinners as well as large-scale events, with support from additional chefs when needed.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation in the kitchen.

Qualifications

• Extensive private chef experience, with a minimum of 10 years in formal household settings.
• Michelin-star-level cooking experience or comparable expertise.
• Strong ability to create diverse, healthy, and visually stunning meals, including accommodating dietary restrictions and allergies.
• Excellent tenure and verifiable professional references.
• Personable, amiable, and comfortable working within a team environment in a fully staffed household.
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and flexibility for occasional travel to Santa Ynez.

Schedule

• Full-time, with flexibility to accommodate varying schedules and family needs.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive base salary: $150,000+ (commensurate with experience).
