Household Manager / Private Chef (Part-Time) | Sugar Land, TX

Schedule: 3 days per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays)
Hours: 8 hours per day (exact schedule TBD)
Compensation: $90,000 - $95,000

Position Summary

A private family in Sugar Land is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Household Manager / Private Chef to provide a blend of culinary excellence and household oversight. The ideal candidate will create nutritious, high-quality meals while maintaining a well-organized and efficiently run home.

This is a part-time, long-term position offering a stable weekly schedule in a respectful, family-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities

Culinary Duties

  • Plan and prepare balanced, flavorful meals tailored to the family’s preferences and dietary requirements, emphasizing healthy, clean eating.

  • Promote good nutritional habits for the children through thoughtful meal preparation and presentation.

  • Maintain a spotless and sanitary kitchen environment before, during, and after cooking.

  • Manage grocery shopping, food inventory, pantry organization, and proper food storage.

  • Package and label prepared meals for later consumption when appropriate.

  • Cook meals on-site or prepare them in advance based on the family’s schedule.

Household Management

  • Maintain household organization and general tidiness during work hours.

  • Coordinate with vendors and schedule home maintenance appointments when needed.

  • Monitor household inventory and proactively restock supplies as required.

  • Assist in planning and supporting special events or gatherings within the home.

  • Offer hands-on support with household tasks beyond cooking, as directed by the family.

  • Maintain flexibility and a proactive attitude in responding to the family’s evolving needs.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience as a private chef or in a professional culinary environment.

  • Background in menu planning and preparation across diverse cuisines.

  • Strong household management skills with the ability to operate independently.

  • Excellent organizational skills, discretion, and dependability.

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to take direction gracefully.

  • Detail-oriented and adaptable in a dynamic household environment.


Additional Details

  • All culinary and household duties will be performed using the employer’s kitchen and equipment.

  • This is a W-2 employee position; applicable taxes will be withheld.

  • A 30-day notice period will be provided in the event of any changes to the agreement.
