Our client, a high-profile celebrity sports star based in Scottsdale, Arizona, is seeking an exceptionally creative and disciplined Private Chef with formal training in diet and nutrition. This is a highly visible role requiring discretion, precision, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with the Principal’s Nutritionist, with a strong focus on performance-based meal preparation and planning.
This position is ideal for a Chef who thrives in a structured, results-driven environment and understands that food is fuel — carefully calibrated to meet specific dietary goals, macro tracking, and performance-based nutrition protocols.
Role Overview
The selected candidate will:
• Collaborate directly with the Principal’s Nutritionist to implement detailed meal protocols
• Count calories, track macros, and execute portion-controlled meals with precision
• Understand performance-based nutrition, dietary protocols, and ingredient measurement at a granular level
• Prepare advanced meal plans aligned with weight goals, training cycles, and recovery schedules
• Maintain detailed tracking systems for ingredients, macros, and caloric intake
• Prepare family meals for our client’s wife and three children, as well as staff meals
• Travel extensively (approximately 25 weeks per year), including extended periods in Europe
This Chef must be comfortable operating in a lively household environment — children, family dogs, and full household staff are part of daily life. The home is informal, approachable, and energetic while still maintaining professional standards. The kitchen sits within a large living space, so there is frequent interaction with our client, family, and friends in a fun, positive, and social atmosphere.
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Formally trained in culinary arts with a strong background in dietetics, sports nutrition, or performance-based cuisine
• Experienced working alongside nutritionists or sports performance teams
• Highly disciplined in calorie tracking, macro breakdowns, portion control, and weighing/measuring ingredients
• Physically fit, health-conscious, and aligned with an athletic lifestyle
• Tech-savvy and comfortable utilizing tracking apps, spreadsheets, and nutrition software
• Fluent in English; Spanish strongly preferred (French or German also beneficial)
• Able to travel at a moment’s notice without restriction
• Holds a U.S. passport, EU passport, or valid Green Card (preferred due to international travel schedule)
• Comfortable in a family-forward environment — kid-friendly, team-oriented, and adaptable
The family employs support staff who assist with table settings, service, and event cleanup during larger gatherings. This Chef should integrate naturally into a collaborative household team.
It is important that the candidate is emotionally mature and flexible — at times meals may be prepared and the family may decide to dine out spontaneously. No offense should be taken; adaptability and professionalism are key.
Compensation & Benefits
• Salary range: $130,000 – $160,000+ depending on experience and prior work with professional athletes or sports-focused households
• Two (2) weeks paid vacation
• One (1) week paid sick leave

• Possible relocation assistance for outstanding candidates with relevant, similar prior experience supporting a sports star or performance-driven household
