Job Title: Private Chef
Location: Fort Worth, Texas (with travel to Saratoga Springs, New York, and Ocala, Florida)
Salary: $120,000 to $140,000 per year
Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday with flexibility
Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Private Chef to cater to the culinary needs of a senior couple residing in Fort Worth, Texas, with seasonal residences in Saratoga Springs, New York, and Ocala, Florida. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious, family-style American cuisine, with the ability to impress when entertaining guests. This position requires flexibility to travel between locations, with preference given to candidates who have previous experience in one of these locations. The opportunity would work best for a single individual, however, the family are open to a candidate with a spouce or partner.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare three meals a day for the senior couple, adhering to a normal American family-style menu.
- Showcase culinary creativity and skill when entertaining guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
- Collaborate with household staff to coordinate meal schedules and ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Source high-quality ingredients, considering seasonal availability and dietary preferences.
- Flexibility to travel between Fort Worth, Saratoga Springs, and Ocala as required, particularly during heavy entertaining periods in Saratoga Springs during the summer months.
- Provide exceptional service and accommodate any special requests or dietary needs.
- Manage inventory, budgeting, and meal planning efficiently.
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Private Chef, preferably in a similar household setting.
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
- Excellent command of English, both verbal and written.
- Comfortable working in a staffed home environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
- Outstanding references from previous employers.
- Local candidates in the Texas area are preferred, but open to a national search.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
