MATHEMATICS TEACHER

Essential Requirements: Teaching Certified, Degree in Mathematics, 3-5 years of teaching experience, effective communication and organizational skills. January 2024 start date.
We are seeking a Mathematics teacher in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for a confidential family who owns a private day school for students ages three to 18. The school provides a structured, traditional curriculum. The school's teaching philosophy is student-centric, encouraging students to ask questions and engage in conversation and critical thinking. We seek a teacher who can pinpoint different children's learning styles and accommodate them accordingly; the student-to-teacher ratio is at most 4:1. Each student has a unique schedule created to help them reach their maximum potential.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Teaching & Learning
• Use appropriate teaching and learning strategies to ensure and enable students to optimize their progress.
• Manage student learning through effective teaching following international policies (to be discussed).
• Ensure student progression and understanding throughout the school year.
• Remain open-minded in shifting your teaching approach to meet individual student needs.
• Assign homework following the school homework policy.
• Offer tools (ICT and the internet) to encourage students to take initiative in their learning.
• Work cohesively with other staff and support staff.
• Create a safe and secure learning environment and promote the children's self-esteem.
• Have a clear understanding of cultural diversity.
• Responsible for the children's ongoing assessments and future goals.
• Create and implement IEPs that are specific to each child. Ensure that students progress throughout the academic year.
• Should be familiar with international standards of assessment and reporting.
• Update parents on advancement or changes specific to each child.
Subject Knowledge & Understanding
• Have thorough and up-to-date knowledge and understanding of secondary-level Matthematics, the various stages of learning, and the specifications for examination courses.
• Keep current with research and developments in pedagogy and the subject area.
Professional Standards & Development
• Be a role model to students through personal presentation and professional conduct.
• Be involved in extracurricular activities.
• Liaise effectively with parents and guardians regarding the student's education and welfare.
Support in other areas
• Participate in and contribute to organized staff events.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other staff and parents/guardians.
Continuing Professional Development
• Take responsibility for personal and professional development, keeping current with research and developments in the teaching arena; take full advantage of any relevant training available.
• Remain well-versed in ICT for data management and record keeping.
Candidates must have a teaching certification and 3-5 years' experience in teaching Mathematics. A current enhanced DBS or equivalent is required. We seek enthusiastic, reliable, flexible, and organized candidates who can motivate and work well under pressure.
Salary:
Salary: SAR 18,000-20,000 | $5,000 tax-free monthly
Housing accommodation and transportation to and from the school is provided.
