Senior IT Engineer/Technical Manager – Global
This is a Houston, TX, based role that requires a well-rounded background in software, hardware, gadgets, IT security, and technology trends.
This role is a 24/7/365 position where a family expects a quick response and availability all hours of the day, including personal time and vacation, working with a high degree of independence and trust.
Frequent travel is expected, nationally and internationally. Candidate should have a broad knowledge of current technology, best tech practice, and trends that meet approved standards.
This role is the point of contact for the principals and executives within this family group.
The role requires oversight of personal devices, smart home technology, PC and Mac-based devices, and having the ability to interact with experts in the field.
Must have excellent social skills, understand boundaries, be intuitive, have the ability to build relationships, and be sensitive highly confidential data.
- Must have excellent communication skills in writing and orally.
- Must have the ability to manage multiple vendor accounts.
- Have an understanding of security protocol and technology.
- Knowledge of mapping/design software.
- 60% domestic/40% international travel
Qualifications
- Must have 10+ years in a similar role
- A bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science
- Must be legal to work in the United States
- Must pass a level-3 background check
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Salary: $150,000 to $200,000
