Job Outline:

Part-time Housekeeper/Manager needed for a lovely family who is based out of Chicago, looking for support for their Florida home. The family primarily resides in Chicago and visit their Florida home often.

Schedule: 

Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 8 hours/day

$35/hour

Responsibilities & Description  

  • House approx: 5,000 sq. ft. The home consists of 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. 
  • Friendly dogs - Must be OK with watching the pets when needed.

What the role involves:

  • Being comfortable with pets is very important
  • Keep an eye on the home when the family travel at the holidays
  • All aspects of cleaning, scheduling vendors, overseeing repairs and follow-up
  • Assisting with birthdays, anniversary, season décor
  • Maintaining the existing house manual, family contact list, emergency contact information for the family to include medical, travel etc
  • Run errands, order online and assist with the stocking of all household items
  • Prepare the house seasonally, clean/direct the storage of patio furniture in the winter and then assist with putting the house back together in the spring
  • Assist with packing and unpacking and wardrobe management
  • Ensure that all packages are brought inside, noted, and the items to be returned are returned within the required return policy
  • Assist setting the table and, at times, simple meal preparation may be required – prep and go
  • Maintain all existing linens and coordinate with the existing housekeeping team to perform weekly sheet changes, and seasonal flipping of mattress and repairs to damaged cushions blankets etc.
  • Assist with laundry, and manage dry cleaning – what goes out/comes back policy
  • Manage/schedule vehicle repair and maintenance of the family’s vehicles
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, text, written, articulate
  • Everything has a place, the house is very organized, detailed, and busy – lots going on during the day with contractors, deliveries etc.
  • The house is a traditional, full-service home: housekeeping, laundry, turn-down service
  • Assist with spring cleaning and take initiative when the family are not in residence to take on projects to be approved
  • Create weekly updates of projects completed, projects being worked on and projects needing approval
