PA / Housekeeper (Local candidates preferred) - PLACED
We are looking for a trustworthy, upbeat Personal Assistant / Housekeeper to help a friendly, down-to-earth couple newly relocated to Puerto Rico and manage their home and daily routines. Their residence is a 4-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom home in Gurabo; they are seeking someone who is self-directed, reliable, respectful, and easy to work with.
This is a live-out, part-time position with a flexible weekday schedule — ideal for someone who appreciates variety, loves animals, and doesn’t mind a bit of nerdy conversation along the way.
Key Responsibilities
- General housekeeping (vacuuming, dusting, bathrooms, etc.)
- Cleaning and maintaining cat litter boxes and pet spaces
- Occasional hand-washing of delicates or specialty laundry items
- Helping with light organizing and maintaining tidy spaces
- Occasional errands and around-the-house tasks
- Supporting Jasmine (the wife) in daily routines or organization
- Transporting our cat(s) to the groomer or vet as needed
- Respectfully handling personal items, collectibles, and artwork
- Helping clients with gentle time/task management (ADHD-aware support)
- Light meal prep or kitchen help a plus
- Helping teach Spanish is a major plus! – we’d love to learn the language and more about Puerto Rican culture from someone who’s patient and supportive
Ideal Candidate
- Friendly, respectful, and trustworthy
- Excellent English communication skills; Spanish fluency or comfort speaking Spanish is a major plus
- Comfortable giving and receiving direction with kindness
- Loves cats and is experienced with pet care
- Understands collectibles and their value and open to geek culture (anime, gaming, collectibles)
- Patient and flexible, especially with a neurodiverse work environment
- Can work independently but also enjoy being part of a team
- Tech-savvy or comfortable learning new tools/apps if needed
- Open to cultural exchange and helping us adjust to life in Puerto Rico
Compensation & Benefits
- $35 hour (negotiable - depending on experience and skills)
- Paid time off (PTO) and sick leave
- Guaranteed pay for agreed-upon hours should the client go out of town etc.
