Position Overview
Recruiting for a unique role supporting operations - facilities operations across multiple locations nationally. This position is ideal for a mechanically minded and trained individual who has experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
This is a newly created opportunity for a candidate with an engineering, architectural, facilities, or general contractor background. Alternatively, a candidate who has overseen a portfolio of properties, acquisitions, and customizations could be highly successful in this role.
The Operations & Infrastructure Lead oversees the mechanical, structural, and operational backbone supporting a portfolio of luxury residences, commercial-grade properties, specialty assets, and transport capabilities across multiple locations.
This role directs complex custom construction and renovation projects, infrastructure modernization, and specialized technical initiatives, ensuring long-term reliability, efficiency, and precision execution.
The ideal candidate combines strong mechanical and systems thinking with architectural sensitivity and a hands-on approach. Experience with custom builds, high-end finishes, bespoke craftsmanship, and global luxury construction standards is essential. This position operates in a private, ownership-facing environment where discretion, quality, and longevity are paramount.
Key Responsibilities
Property Development & Construction

Lead new construction, renovations, and capital improvements.

Manage contractor selection, scope development, negotiations, and budgets.

Ensure timelines, quality standards, and architectural integrity.

Oversee installation of mechanical systems, generators, infrastructure upgrades, and integrated technologies.

Execute high-end finishes and custom architectural elements with designers and artisans.
Infrastructure & Technical Projects

Lead infrastructure modernization and technical initiatives.

Evaluate mechanical scope and vendor capabilities.

Translate technical requirements into actionable plans and financial decisions.
Mechanical & Systems Oversight

Oversee specialized mechanical operations and custom asset initiatives.

Implement preventative maintenance and lifecycle planning.

Ensure system resilience, redundancy, and optimization.
Fleet, Aviation & Transport

Provide strategic oversight of fleet and specialty transport assets.

Ensure compliance, risk mitigation, and maintenance standards.

Maintain asset lifecycle planning and chain-of-custody protocols.
Risk Management & Reporting

Identify infrastructure vulnerabilities and implement contingency planning.

Maintain disciplined financial oversight and reporting.

Serve as escalation point for urgent operational issues.
Qualifications

10–20+ years in construction management, infrastructure operations, engineering-adjacent leadership, architecture, or industrial operations.

Strong mechanical aptitude and fluency in building systems.

Experience with high-end residential construction, custom finishes, and luxury property development.

Global exposure to bespoke craftsmanship and specialty materials preferred.

Visionary mindset with the ability to retrofit, innovate, and think creatively.

Proven success managing capital projects from concept to completion.

Experience managing contractors, architects, engineers, and specialized vendors.

Leadership experience overseeing specialized teams.

Financial acumen managing multimillion-dollar budgets and long-term asset planning.

High discretion and comfort within a private family office or UHNW environment.

Technology fluency including smart home systems, infrastructure monitoring, and integrated security.
Education & Professional Credentials

Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred.

Business Administration, Project Management smart home technologies are advantageous.

Professional credentials such as PE, PMP, LEED, General Contractor License, or equivalent technical certifications are highly valued.
