Nanny/Estate Manager - Manhattan and the Hamptons CLOSED
Nanny/Estate Manager - New York, Upper East Side, and The Hamptons w/ability to travel nationally and internationally.
We are searching for a warm, intelligent, energetic caregiver for a bright and active 9-year-old who lost her mother three years ago. (There is also a gracious, mature 16-year-old boy, but his needs are minimal).
More than a nanny, we hope to find an extraordinary person to fill-in for an active, and loving soccer mom, who recently passed away.
Our ideal candidate would be someone who can be there for school pickups/drop-offs, travel to (and cheer at!) sporting events, manage extra-curricular activities, play dates, homework, doctor’s appointments, pack for travel, meal prep, and maintain and monitor connections with friends and relatives.
Most importantly, we are searching for someone who can become a wise and caring mentor to the 9-year-old as she navigates puberty and life. (The young girl is learning French, so someone with a French background or who can keep up with the study of French would be a plus)
We are looking for an applicant with a formal collage education, ideally holding a master’s degree. The children are gifted academically, and both will need assistance as they apply for AP programs and researching the best courses that would match their academic skills and interests.
Clear communication between the family corporate office is essential, making everyone aware of any changes in the family’s day, but also making key family members apprised of any changes with the children.
The position is in New York, Upper East Side, with some travel (including summers in the Hamptons and European trips).
The family are open to a live-in or live-out candidate during the school year; either one works. To be successful, 24/7 coverage or availability would be needed from time to time. The family spend the summers in the Hamptons. A private room and bathroom is offered.
There is a management aspect to the role. While the children are in school the, ideal candidate will manage and coordinate vendors, support staff and all calendaring. The household has chefs, housekeepers, and drivers to assist.
Must have a valid passport to apply and legalized or a US citizen.
Salary and Benefits:
$150k - $230k D.O.E.
