Full-Time Live-In High Profile Travel Nanny, with Housekeeping Support

About the Family: This loving family lives in Birmingham, MI (think of this area a lot like a suburb in New Jersey or Long Island) and is looking to hire a live-in half nanny & housekeeper to support their family. The family currently has a laundress & day-time nanny and they are looking for someone to replace their current live in who will be moving on! Both parents work from inside the home and they lead a very active life. The family travels often and the nanny will spend summers in Hamptons and winters in Palm Beach, FL. 

Ideal Candidate:

  • This family’s ideal candidate is half Housekeeper & half Nanny
  • The candidate should be non-judgmental, self-care, and healthy-minded. Need the ability to adjust to different environments with ease, well-traveled or
  • She will take care of and clean the primary residence (about 10,000 sq ft).
  • When not cleaning, this candidate will be a nanny, helping with the family’s current 3-year-old and 2 year old.
  • Housekeeping Skill Requirements:
    • 5+ years’ experience cleaning large homes and fine furnishings
    • Vacuuming, moping, dusting
    • Organize and clean up after the kids
    • Wash dishes & clean up after dinner
    • Help serve & clean up during dinner with guests
    • Light laundry and ironing as needed, especially when traveling
  • Nanny Skill Requirements
    • Have 5+ years’ experience working with kids under the age of
    • Have good communication skills and know how to work with toddlers, change diapers, give baths, help put them down for a nap, read books, etc
    • Have experience with children with food
    • Comfortable preparing healthy meal and playing activities
    • Knowing how to swim with the kids is a plus
    • A background in Montessori education is a
  • The candidate needs to be flexible to work nights and weekends and overnights when traveling.

What A Normal Day Looks like: Head over from your private live in area to the main house at around 830am to help get the kids ready for school. Make some freshly brewed coffee while the mom takes the kids to school and start cleaning up around the house. Follow a cleaning schedule until the afternoon. When the mom needs help and the day-time nanny is not there, take a break from cleaning and play with the kids, putting them down for a nap, or doing an

activity with them. Then, take a break between 4-630, and come back to help clean up after dinner. Then off to your private live-in studio apartment on property, with its own entrance for the rest of your night!

Compensation:

This role is paying $80,000 to $120,000 D/O/E annually based on experience with paid vacation & sick days. Please be ready to travel domestically and internationally. All living quarters, wifi, utilities are covered at no-charge. The only thing you’ll pay for while living-in is food of your own.
