Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and discreet travel nanny/tutor on behalf of a celebrity singer and her family based in Santa Ynez, California. This unique role would be caring for an 8-year-old boy and 12- year-old girl, and requires a dynamic and resourceful individual who is passionate about child development and education while maintaining the utmost confidentiality. The successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive care, education, and well-being of the family’s children, providing an enriching, safe, and stimulating environment at home and during frequent international travel.
Key Responsibilities:

Childcare & Development: Provide high-quality care for the children, including but not limited to, daily routines, meal preparation, personal hygiene, and emotional support. Foster a nurturing environment that supports physical, mental, and emotional growth.

Educational Support: Develop and implement individualized educational plans, supplementing the children’s formal education with engaging, age-appropriate learning activities. Prepare for and oversee tutoring sessions in various subjects, tailored to the children’s educational needs and interests.

Travel Coordination: Manage all aspects of the children’s needs during domestic and international travel, ensuring their safety, comfort, and educational continuity. Coordinate with the family’s team to organize travel logistics, including packing, scheduling, and any special requirements.

Extracurricular Activities: Organize and supervise extracurricular activities that align with the children’s interests, such as sports, arts, music, and cultural experiences, both at home and while traveling.

Health & Wellness: Monitor the children’s health and well-being, liaise with healthcare professionals as necessary, and ensure the children maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

Confidentiality & Discretion: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the family’s personal life and ensure all interactions are conducted with the highest level of discretion.
Qualifications:

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a nanny or tutor in a high-profile household. Previous experience in a travel role is highly preferred.

Education: A degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in Early Childhood Education, First Aid/CPR, or similar are a plus.

Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a proven track record of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Travel: Must have a valid passport and be willing to travel extensively with little notice, including to international destinations.

Personality: Warm, nurturing, and adaptable with a genuine passion for working with children. Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure and in unexpected situations.

Language: Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in an additional language is a plus.
