Location: Dorado, Puerto Rico (home base, a US-Territory), with upcoming travel to our home in Dominican Republic, and trips to US Mainland (Texas, Utah, California), Bangkok, and Buenos Aires

Description:

High net worth family seeks a full-time, multi-lingual, travel nanny/educator to provide care and develop and implement an academic curriculum for our bubbly, nearly 4-year-old girl, and possibly a small pod of no more than 4 (four) similar aged children.

The ideal candidate is college-educated and experienced as an Educator-Nanny with a background in early childhood/elementary education (or equivalent), and/or is Montessori and STEAM/STEM prepared. You possess a life-long learner mentality. You are energetic, enthusiastic, in good health, active, kind and warm. You are an adventurous and inquisitive person, willing to try new things, and naturally wanting to engage young minds and energies by developing and/or organizing activities that nurture creative spirits and stimulate a love for learning.

The ideal person to join our family is a well-rounded, discreet, emotionally mature and balanced individual, does not smoke, drinks little, and has interests and hobbies they enjoy whilst not at work. They are self-aware and invest in their personal and professional development. They must be okay with all kinds of weather due to the various locations we travel, and are comfortable being in and on the water.

You have an up-to-date passport and driver’s license. English-Spanish, English-French bilingual an asset.

The job: 

  • 45-50 hours per week, live-in or will consider live-out
  • 2 consecutive days o? per week
  • Travel will be same hours, however, the schedule may di?er

The role

Educator responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Planning: Designing and organizing educational materials and activities for 4-5-year-olds, aligned with the students' learning objectives and interests, using Montessori, STEAM/STEM, and RIE approaches and/or other pedagogical philosophies as approved by parents.
  • Classroom design and set up: Design and implement the classroom layout, including selecting materials and supplies for approval and submitting orders, tracking supplies, and inventory.
  • Instruction: Delivering lessons in various subjects, providing explanations, demonstrations, and facilitating discussions.
  • Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Evaluating students' understanding through tests, quizzes, projects, or informal assessments to track progress.
  • Individualized Instruction: Tailoring teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of each student in the pod.
  • Classroom Management: Establishing routines, behavioral management and redirection, and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Communication with Parents: Keeping parents informed about students' progress, challenges, and achievements through regular updates and
  • Support for Special Needs: Identifying and addressing any speci?c learning challenges or accommodations needed by individual students within the
  • Extra-Curricular Activities: Organizing and supervising ?eld trips, guest speakers, or extracurricular activities to enrich the educational
  • Socialization and Peer Interaction: Facilitating opportunities for students to interact socially, collaborate on projects, and develop interpersonal
  • Health and Safety: Ensuring students' physical and emotional well-being, including implementing safety protocols and responding to
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining records of attendance, assessments, and progress reports as required by homeschooling regulations or agreements with parents.
  • Professional Development: Engaging in ongoing professional growth and development to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends and practices.

Nanny Duties:

  • Care-giving: Performing typical nanny responsibilities such as meal preparation, feeding, bathing, bedtime routines, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the child.
  • Household Management: Assisting with light household duties related to the children, such as tidying up play areas, child's laundry, and organizing educational materials.
  • Transportation: Providing transportation to and from school, extracurricular
  • activities, and educational outings, ensuring the children's safety during
  • Behavioral Support: Encouraging positive behavior and implementing discipline
  • strategies as agreed upon with the
  • Enrichment Activities: Organizing and participating in educational outings, visits to museums, libraries, and other cultural or educational venues, especially during periods of travel.
  • Organizing for Travel: Create packing lists, assist with packing, unpacking, and in-transit activities, track packed items, think ahead, and ensure that any food items or medications not readily available internationally are well-stocked for the time abroad.

Salary and Benefits  

Attractive annual base salary range: $160K-$175K Additional bene?ts/incentives:
