Location: North Shore, Chicago, IL
Schedule:

  • 30 hours per week/benefits eligibility 

Compensation: $40/hour ($800 per week; additional hours available)

Position Overview

A warm, nurturing, and professional Part-Time Nanny/Family Assistant is sought to provide attentive care for a 2–3-month-old infant while supporting the household with light assistant duties. The ideal candidate will be patient, reliable, and proactive, with strong infant care experience and the ability to keep family life organized and running smoothly.

Primary Responsibilities

Infant Care

  • Provide loving, attentive care for the baby (feeding, changing, soothing, naps, play)

  • Wash, sterilize, and prepare bottles; eventually assist with introducing solids and simple baby meals

  • Track feeding and sleep patterns and communicate updates to parents

  • Engage in age-appropriate developmental activities (tummy time, soft interaction, music, stroller walks, etc.)

  • Manage baby laundry and maintain a clean, organized nursery

  • Ensure a calm, safe, and nurturing environment

Family Assistant Duties

  • Tidy kitchen and common areas, especially after baby use

  • Household laundry and light linen care as needed

  • Run local errands (grocery, dry cleaning, etc.)

  • Keep track of household and baby supplies, restocking as needed

  • Assist with scheduling, calendar coordination, and organizational projects

  • Supervise vendors and oversee housekeeping visits

  • Provide light pet care (feeding cats, maintaining water fountains, light litter box cleaning)

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Prior infant care and household support experience with strong references

  • Warm, calm, and professional demeanor with excellent organizational skills

  • Comfortable navigating the city by car and on foot

  • Certifications: CPR/First Aid required

  • Health & Safety: Up to date on TDaP vaccine; nonsmoker

  • Valid passport (for occasional family travel)

  • Clean driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • Comfortable with pets (cats and dogs); no allergies
