Private Tutor/Educator - PLACED

A family in Folly Beach, S.C., is searching for a qualified live-in tutor. The tutor will have a room provided at a home on John’s Island, staying with the grandmother of the two children, a 9-yr-old and a 7-yr-old. Both children are very well behaved. The role is open to a male or female candidate who is confident and familiar with teaching second-grade and fourth-grade level education, meeting South Carolina state-regulated education guidelines. The family is returning from Australia with the intended start date in March 2022, but they are open to hiring the right candidate earlier. 

• Must be comfortable with developing and scheduling afterschool educational activities. 
• Must be comfortable using tablets, iPads, and computers for instruction. 
• Must have an educational background; a master’s in education would be a plus. 
• Salary: $35 per hour 
• Relocation assistance may be provided for the right candidate
