Location: Pittsburgh, PA, 15143
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 (Live-in)
Benefits: Full benefits package
Start Date: Immediate
Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend coverage
About the Position:
Our client, a philanthropic family office, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nanny and Tutor Surrogate to oversee the care and education of two 10-year-old boys from Central Africa. This unique opportunity involves providing comprehensive support to ensure the well-being, education, and development of the children, who are being sponsored through college by our client.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily care and routine of the children, including waking them up and ensuring they are ready for school.
- Manage household activities to ensure a smooth and organized environment.
- Transport the children to and from school and other activities.
- Run errands and handle appointments, including doctor visits.
- Assist with meal preparation and planning.
- Support with travel plans and logistics.
- Aid in school and college applications, as well as afterschool programs.
- Maintain a 24/7 presence, with additional support provided two days a week during days off.
Qualifications:
- Educated, compassionate, and kind individual with a long-term intent.
- Proven track record in a similar role or relevant experience.
- Excellent command of English; conversational French is highly advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a household efficiently.
- Ability to assist with educational activities and applications.
- Must be local to Pittsburgh or the surrounding states, or have a strong connection to the city with a desire to relocate back.
Ideal Candidate:
- Has experience working with children and managing household tasks.
- Exhibits a high degree of empathy, patience, and understanding.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both in English and preferably in French.
- Is willing to commit to a long-term role to provide stability and continuity for the children.
