Position: Italian-Speaking Nanny
Location: Atherton, CA
Compensation: $85,000 – $140,000 DOE

A warm and welcoming family in Atherton, California is seeking an experienced and fluent Italian-speaking Nanny to join their household. Our returning clients are respected business professionals with strong connections in both California and Italy, and they are seeking a candidate who can bring discretion, professionalism, and positive energy into their home.

About the Family & Role

  • The family includes four children: ages 12, 14, and 16 (who primarily spend weekends with their mother), and two younger children ages 6 and 4, who will be the nanny’s primary focus.

  • The home is fully staffed with a House Manager, another Nanny, Personal Assistant, and household/property staff, making teamwork and strong communication essential.

  • The role requires living on the premises with accommodations provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely drive children to school, activities, appointments, and playdates.

  • Assist with daily routines: preparing snacks, helping with bedtime, packing for school/travel, ensuring school bags are ready.

  • Support the children with homework and educational enrichment (for candidates with tutoring/teaching experience).

  • Assist with pet care for the family dogs: feeding, walking, and coordinating vet visits.

  • Help manage the family calendar relating to the children’s schedules and activities.

  • Provide occasional evening coverage as needed.

  • Maintain discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times.

Schedule

  • 5 days per week (two consecutive days off; ideally Sunday & Monday or Monday & Tuesday).

  • Split-shift schedule: morning support, break during midday, resume in the afternoon until approx. 8:00 PM.

  • Flexibility for travel and evening coverage is required.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in Italian and English (spoken and written).

  • Experience as a nanny in high-net-worth or fully staffed homes preferred.

  • Tech-savvy with strong organizational skills to assist with scheduling.

  • Must be energetic, detail-oriented, and adaptable.

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.

  • Ideally holds a European passport (E-passport) to enable spending summers in Italy with the family.

  • Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $85,000 – $110,000 for entry-level nanny experience.

  • Up to $130,000 – $140,000 for candidates with strong educational/tutoring background.
