Compensation: $150k+ depending on experience

A private, young family based in the Cayman Islands is seeking a warm, intuitive, and highly flexible full-time Nanny to care for their one-year-old daughter. This is a live-out opportunity which includes a generous housing stipend. The family is laid-back, with both parents working from home. The nanny will know when to step in to assist and when to step away, using common sense and emotional intelligence. The home is fully staffed, so responsibilities are child-focused only.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nurturing, attentive care to a one-year-old girl, supporting her developmental milestones with age-appropriate activities

  • Maintain a consistent daily routine including naps, meals, and structured play

  • Prepare and serve simple, nutritious meals and snacks for the baby

  • Handle packing and unpacking for the child when traveling

  • Maintain a clean and organized environment for the child

  • Coordinate with parents and household staff to ensure seamless support

  • Be available on an on-call basis 5 days per week, with flexibility around scheduling changes

  • Travel-readiness as needed; occasional travel may be requested

Ideal Candidate

  • Warm, emotionally intelligent, and calm under pressure

  • Low-maintenance, discreet, and adaptable to a high-demand lifestyle

  • Thoughtful and observant, with a strong awareness of the child’s needs and well-being

  • French-speaking is a strong plus (not required); prior experience on the island is highly desirable

  • Prior experience with infants/toddlers in private homes is essential

  • Passport-ready and able to travel internationally if requested

  • Must have a clean driving license and current passport

  • Must possess excellent verifiable references (minimum three), a clean background check, and be legally able to work in the Cayman Islands (visa sponsorship available for the right candidate)

  • Must be able to read the room, use sound judgment, and maintain a chill, laid-back personality

  • Should be comfortable on boats, able to swim, and display high energy, politeness, and discretion

  • Able to adapt to a non-rigid schedule — the mother is very hands-on and values support as needed rather than a fixed routine
