About the Family
A lovely family who resides in Manhattan, seeks to hire a live-in housekeeper as part of a team overseeing their 20,000 square foot townhouse on the Upper East Side. The home is fully staffed and semi-formal, with museum-quality art and furnishings.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience with all aspects of housekeeping, have excellent tenure, and references. The home has multiple floors, so being in excellent physical shape would be a necessary requirement. The ideal candidate will be a team player, and without ego. Must be articulate, and tech-savvy The family is looking for a candidate with long-term intent and proven longevity in their current or previous roles.
The family is fair, kind, and respectful, and wants their new housekeeper to come to work happy and excited to work in a very a calm, but busy environment.
Position Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have prior experience with all aspects of housekeeping and, together with the other two housekeepers, perform:
- Laundry/Ironing
- Dusting
- Vacuuming
- Mopping
- Running errands
- Ordering and managing, and inventorying of supplies
- Managing dry cleaning
- Wardrobe management in the Manhattan residence, but also manage and track the movement of the family’s belongings between homes
Position Requirements
- Must have excellent references
- Must have a minimum of five years of experience
- Must pass a detailed criminal/verification check
Position Compensation
- Salary: $80 to $90,000, depending on experience
- Living Accommodations: Live-in, private basement apartment
- Vacation: Standard 2 weeks’ vacation/1 week of sick leave
- Health Insurance: Yes
