Overview: An extraordinary opportunity awaits a dedicated and experienced Property/Facilities Manager to work for an A-list celebrity family in Santa Ynez, California. The family includes a celebrity, her husband, and their two children. They seek a highly skilled individual who can manage their expansive 200-acre estate with precision and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management: Coordinate and oversee all vendors, ensuring timely and high-quality service.
  • Hands-On Maintenance: Perform hands-on tasks, including mole control, weed management, and maintaining the horse-riding arena and sports arena.
  • Property Systems: Understand and manage plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, three wells, a generator, and cooling towers.
  • Horticulture and Agriculture: Apply horticultural knowledge to grow avocados, manage vineyard/arborist tasks, and oversee the property's horticultural needs.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage teams of maintenance personnel, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Mechanical Maintenance: Maintain and restore mechanical systems within the large barn and other property areas.
  • Detail and Organization: Ensure the property is always detailed, highly organized, and maintained in pristine condition.
  • 24/7 Availability: Be available round-the-clock to address any issues or needs that arise on the estate.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing large properties, preferably with estate management experience for high-profile individuals.
  • Expertise in plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and general property maintenance.
  • Strong horticultural knowledge, including experience with vineyards and orchards - certification in horticulture or arboriculture advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with the family and other staff.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary ranges from $130,000 to $140,000 annually, depending on experience.
