USA – Connecticut-based with travel to Caribbean
Essential Requirements:
USA work authorization required. Previous private domestic household experience. Confident, forward thinking, proactive candidate with good communication skills. Prior US experience in a similar role. Must be vaccinated.
Experienced Director of Residences is required for an 80-acre estate in Connecticut. This is the main residence of a professional business couple with adult children. There is a secondary townhouse in New York City and an additional property in the Caribbean. You will be required to travel with or ahead of the principals on a regular basis.
The is a very busy household which requires a dedicated, extremely detailed, and professional Chief of Staff/Director of Residence. Someone with a hotel or hospitality degree would excel in the role as our client owns a boutique hotel in the Turks and Caicos. A Master’s in Business or similar accredited finance degree would be essential. The role requires the ability to communicate clearly with both principals, and the cooperate office in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management: Principals’ primary residence in Connecticut, a secondary home in New York, and a hotel in Turks and Caicos
- Leadership: oversee a team of staff including hiring, training, supervising.
- Implementation and logging of household standards, systems, and protocols.
- Creating maintenance schedules for houses and equipment – ensuring schedules are adhered to by staff and contractors.
- Oversee household files
- Organizing and managing household inventories.
- In-home event planning as needed.
- Handle massive construction, renovation and off-season projects as requested across all residences. Become the point of contact for external contractors and external service providers.
- Manage complex, international travel including commercial and private flights, ground transportation, lodging, dining requests and entertainment reservations.
- Additional projects as requested or identified to improve the quality of life of the family.

Requirements:
- At least ten years prior Chief of Staff experience with stellar, verifiable references.
- Proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar projects
- Excellent time management skills and ability to anticipate next steps without supervision. Solution and detail oriented.
- Tech Savvy and interest in new, tech-based solutions.
- Proficient calendaring abilities.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to be available 24/7 by phone or email for emergencies.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Loyalty, confidentiality, and discretion.
- Extensive background check required.
- Fully vaccinated for COVID.
- Construction project experience, financial oversight of $20 to $40 million dollar acquisitions
Salary Range: $225,000 to $350,000 for qualified candidates but negotiable. Medical benefits package / housing / staff vehicle will be provided. First class checkable references and Non-Smokers essential.
