Full-Time House/Property Manager
A warm and welcoming family in Lake Forest, IL is seeking a hands-on, experienced House/Property Manager to oversee the daily operations and long-term care of their recently renovated 12,000 sq. ft. estate set on several beautifully maintained acres. The property includes a private beach, pool house, and extensive grounds. The family includes a toddler and is expecting a new addition next summer.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily walkthroughs to identify maintenance or safety concerns
- Oversee and maintain HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems; troubleshoot and resolve minor issues directly
- Manage seasonal vendors (landscaping, pool, snow removal, plantings) and service contracts
- Provide hands-on property maintenance and take a proactive, solution-driven approach
- Maintain household inventory and supplies; manage deliveries, Amazon returns, and occasional errands
- Create and maintain a comprehensive house manual, systems log, and digital calendar
- Coordinate closely with a full-time housekeeper during peak season (May–October)
- Operate within a budget-conscious framework, ensuring efficient and effective home operations
Ideal Candidate Will Be
- Experienced managing luxury private homes or estates (10,000+ sq. ft. preferred)
- Technically savvy and highly familiar with home systems and infrastructure
- Organized, resourceful, and proactive with a hands-on approach
- Comfortable with family life and discreet, respectful of privacy
- Tech-literate with the ability to manage digital systems and maintenance records
- Strong communicator with a collaborative spirit and "no task too small" attitude
Candidates should Ideally, based in the Chicago or have a connection to the area
Location: Lake Forest, Chicago, IL
Salary: $120,000–$150,000 DOE
Benefits: Full benefits package + 15 days PTO
Schedule: Monday through Friday, with some weekend coverage (40-50 hours a week) 9am to 5pm
