Housekeeper/Houseman/Handyman – Ormond Beach, FL
We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced housekeeper/houseman/handyman/gardener four days a week. Friday through Monday, with one weekend off a month. Flexible hours for the right candidate. The family seeks to hire someone locally, someone with ties to the area or who currently lives in Florida.
The role will support the existing House Manager in Ormond Beach, Florida.
This role involves outside maintenance:
- Blowing leaves, sweeping patio's
- Assisting with pruning trees fruit trees, hand weeding
- Watering plants
- Maintaining a vegetable patch
- Feeding and managing chickens
- Walking two friendly labradors and feeding them a specific diet
- Overseeing preapproved vendors
- Cleaning windows
On Saturday and Sunday, the role is predominantly inside, assisting with very specific simple meal prep, making one bed, and cleaning the bathroom following the House Manager's specific directions. The family does not use harmful chemicals; all cleaning uses bio-degradable/organic cleaning products.
The family do not host guests in general, and if there are any business meetings, the House Manager coordinates all the logistics. The principal requires little interaction and a quiet working environment.
Our client is very private, so discretion is a must. Common sense and the ability to think creatively are also essential.
Must have outstanding references and pass a detailed criminal background check to be considered.
This position offers an immediate start; the house manager will train and be on board. (60% of this role is outside work, and 40% is inside)
Schedule:
Friday and Monday, 9 am to 4 pm; Saturday and Sunday would be, 8 am to 4 pm. Additional hours available.
Compensation:
Our client is willing to offer above-average compensation for the right candidate, ranging from $30 to $35 per hour. Additional hours available.
