Year-Round Housekeeper & Property Assistant
Location: Asheville, NC (28803)
Schedule:

  • Summer: 2–3 full days/week (9 AM – 5 PM)

  • Winter: 2–3 monthly visits for maintenance checks and oversight
    Compensation: $30–$35/hour, based on experience

A wonderful Miami-based family is seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Housekeeper & Property Assistant to care for their second home in Asheville, NC year-round. The family spends summers in residence with their two young children (ages 2 and 4), and visits periodically in the off-season. They are looking for someone who can not only manage housekeeping during the summer months but also provide basic property oversight and vendor coordination throughout the rest of the year.

Summer Responsibilities (June–August):

  • Housekeeping and deep cleaning (3 days/week)

  • Laundry: wash, fold, and organize

  • Organizing household items, closets, and children’s play areas

  • Simple food prep when time allows (boil rice, make a salad, prep a protein for the oven)

  • Prepare home before family visits and refresh after departure

  • Help maintain a tidy, well-run household while family is in residence

Off-Season Responsibilities (September–May):

  • 2–3 visits per month to check on the home

  • Walk-throughs to ensure property security and condition

  • Flush toilets, run showers, check for leaks or maintenance issues

  • Coordinate seasonal maintenance (HVAC, landscaping, etc.)

  • Supervise and liaise with vendors and repair services as needed

  • Maintain a log of property visits and upkeep activities

Ideal Candidate:

  • Organized, trustworthy, and proactive

  • Hands-on and willing to "roll up their sleeves"

  • Experience in private homes or estate environments

  • Self-directed with strong communication skills

  • Local to Asheville with reliable transportation

  • Comfortable with basic food prep (optional but appreciated)

  • Able to commit to a year-round, part-time role

This is a long-term position for someone who enjoys creating order, maintaining a beautiful home, and offering peace of mind to a traveling family. The home is located just 10 minutes from downtown Asheville.
