Housekeeper - Dana Point and Newport Beach, CA
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeper.
The ideal candidate will maintain the highest standards of cleanlines and organization across two residences located in Newport Beach (15,000 sq. ft.) during the Summer, and Dana Point (8000 sq. ft.) during the rest of the year. There is another full-time housekeeper in place. The family is seeking additional household support and would like to have a new housekeeper start in early November, ideally. The incoming housekeeper will work closely with the existing Housekeeper and Personal Assistant.
The client is a wonderful, respectful, and private family with three daughters: a seven-year-old, a ten-year-old, and a college-aged child. This position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment alongside another housekeeper, house manager. The family are socially visible yet deeply private and discreet, and they place great value on loyalty, professionalism, and long-term commitment from their staff.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough cleaning duties according to the established standards and schedules for both residences.
- Ensure all rooms and areas are cleaned and sanitized to maintain a welcoming and safe environment.
- Manage laundry and ironing tasks, including washing delicate items and linens.
- Organize and maintain household supplies and inventory.
- Assist with occasional meal preparation and kitchen cleaning as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with the existing housekeeping team to execute the client's requests.
- Handle special cleaning projects and seasonal cleaning tasks.
- Report any maintenance issues or repairs to the house manager promptly.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a housekeeper in private residences, with a strong understanding of cleaning techniques and sanitation standards.
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Discretion and respect for privacy and confidentiality is essential.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and household needs.
- Physical stamina and mobility to perform regular cleaning duties including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Ideally have a command of Spanish.
Schedule:
- 5 days a week.
- Monday through Friday with felxability to pick up extra hours (8am to 3pm)
- Live-out.
Compensation:
- $40-$45 per hour
- Access to comprehensive benefits package.
- Mileage reimboursed when traveling between homes
