A housekeeper is needed to support a family on Kiawah Island in South Carolina. The large, beach-front home requires a housekeeper to live on-site over the beautifully appointed carriage house and manage all aspects of cleaning this 14,000 square feet home.
Basic Responsibilities
- Laundry when principals and guests are on vacation
- Cooking
- Stocking of the house
- Packing and unpacking
- Ordering items in line for deliveries
- Communicating clearly via text and e-mail
- Having the home seasonally ready
- Working with vendors and property manager
- Have an understanding of the steps necessary to take during hurricane season and follow emergency action plans
- Must be comfortable using security systems
- Additional staff will be brought in when the home is entertaining
Position Details
- April to September will have extreme flexibility
- October to March will be reduced hours
- Salary dependent on experience
- $50-$70,000
- The use of house car is provided for running errands
- Local candidates to Charleston and surrounding area preferred
- Must understand southern hospitality
- Must pass criminal background and motor vehicle checks
