A wonderful young family of seven in Lawrence, Long Island is seeking an experienced, energetic, and dependable Housekeeper / Family Support Professional to become a valued part of their busy household.

The family has five children, four of whom are in school throughout the day, allowing plenty of uninterrupted time to focus on housekeeping, laundry, organization, and maintaining the home. The children are polite, mannerly, and well-organized, and the parents place tremendous importance on raising them in a positive, respectful, and kind environment.

This is an informal household with a warm, gentle, and compassionate family who would like to find someone with a positive attitude and genuinely good heart who will complement the environment they have created for their children.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the position is housekeeping and household support, with a willingness to assist with light childcare when needed. Duties will include:

• Complete housekeeping of the approximately 3,500-square-foot residence
• Laundry, folding, ironing, and general clothing care
• Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and maintaining all household areas
• Daily tidying and organization
• Maintaining household inventories and anticipating supplies before they run low
• Ordering household necessities through Costco, Amazon, and other retailers
• Keeping cleaning products, paper goods, children's supplies, toiletries, body wash, toothpaste, and everyday household necessities well stocked
• Assisting with light childcare and providing an extra set of hands when needed
• Helping the household remain organized and running smoothly
• Occasional assistance with seasonal or family needs

The family follows kosher guidelines, so someone who has experience working within a kosher household would be welcomed; however, a willingness to learn and respectfully follow the family's household practices is most important.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, approximately 8:30 AM–5:30 PM, based on a 40-hour workweek.

Some flexibility for an occasional evening or weekend would be greatly appreciated.

The family would also welcome a candidate who is open to occasional short-term travel. This may include a weekend in Florida or accompanying the family on an occasional trip to the Caribbean. Travel flexibility is appreciated but should not discourage an otherwise excellent candidate.
