A wonderful young couple in Kent County, Delaware, seeks an energetic and detail-oriented full-time live-in housekeeper to join their household. The family resides in a 5,000-square-foot informal, casual home shared with their 10-month-old baby and the couple's parents.

Position Overview

The primary focus of this role is on housekeeping, laundry, and household inventory management, ensuring the home is maintained to a high standard. This is an informal household where common sense, initiative, and reliability are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all housekeeping tasks, including cleaning, organizing, and maintaining the home’s interior.
• Manage laundry duties, including washing, ironing, folding, and organizing clothing and linens.
• Maintain household inventories, ensuring essential supplies are stocked and readily available.
• Assist the principal as needed with household tasks.
• Coordinate with family members to ensure the home operates smoothly.

Additional Details

• Childcare: No childcare responsibilities are required. The couple works from home and takes full care of their baby, with occasional assistance from the grandparents.
• Elder Care: While the client’s father has dementia, his care is managed entirely by his wife, a retired RN. No elder care duties are required.
• Travel: No travel is required for this position.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a break in the middle of the day.
• Flexibility is appreciated, and the family is open to adjusting hours if needed.

Compensation and Benefits

• Living Accommodations: Private bedroom, bathroom, and living room, with access to a shared kitchen. The accommodations include a private entrance and dedicated parking.
• Vacation: Two weeks of paid vacation annually.
• Relocation Assistance: Some relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
• Medical Benefits: Medical coverage is not offered at this time.
• Salary: $85K to $95K.
