$95,000 to $110,000 live-in | 40–50 hours/week
An ultra-private, warm, and informal family is seeking a kind, quiet, and highly professional Housekeeper to support their summer and early fall lifestyle in Islesboro, Maine and then back to New York City in September -full time. The role begins immediately.
The household includes a couple in their 50s with busy schedules, their two adult daughters (ages 20 and 24), and four beloved adult mini schnauzers. A private chef is employed full time, and a second housekeeper supports deep cleaning bi-weekly.
Key Responsibilities:

Daily Housekeeping: Reset bedrooms and bathrooms to high standard

Laundry & Garment Care: Handle all laundry with special attention to stain removal and pressing

Pet Care: Feed, walk, groom, and administer medication for eldest dog as needed

Guest Support: Greet guests warmly and offer a welcome beverage

Meal Support: Set and clear the table, assist chef with service setup and cleanup

Household Supplies: Maintain and restock cleaning and household items

Packing & Unpacking: Assist principals with organization and wardrobe care for travel

Errands: Run occasional errands as needed

Maine: Shared modest rental home with the chef on Islesboro Island

NYC: Private staff apartment in the family’s building with separate bedroom, sitting area, kitchen, and bathroom

Chef and housekeeper collaborate to care for the family and their pets when the principals travel briefly off-island
