Full-Time Housekeeper – Old Westbury, NY (Live-in)

Location: Old Westbury, NY 11568
Compensation: $90,000 DOE + Medical Stipend & Housing
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday or Tuesaday through Saturday  (Occasional weekend flexibility)

Position Overview

A wonderful couple in their 50s is seeking an experienced, trustworthy, and detail-oriented Full-Time Housekeeper to join their household in Old Westbury, NY. The couple shares their home with two friendly dogs and occasionally hosts visits from their adult children.

This is a formal, well-structured home with an established and long-standing household team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional who takes pride in maintaining a beautifully organized environment and enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team. Long-term commitment and reliability are key. Mrs. is very detailed, likes to be involved, respectful with high standards. 

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Cleaning

  • Perform daily cleaning and upkeep of a large residence, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and living areas.

  • Conduct deep cleaning on a regular schedule to ensure the home remains spotless and well-maintained.

  • Manage laundry, including washing, ironing, folding, and organizing wardrobes and linens.

Organization & Household Maintenance

  • Keep all closets, pantries, and storage areas organized and fully stocked.

  • Rotate and maintain seasonal décor and household inventories.

  • Maintain a system of order and consistency throughout the home.

Cooking & Meal Support (Optional)

  • Mrs. enjoys cooking and entertaining; while professional culinary experience is not required, an interest in cooking or assisting during meal preparation is appreciated.

Errands & Shopping

  • Drive to complete errands, including grocery shopping, household purchases, and drop-offs/pick-ups as needed.

  • Maintain household inventory and ensure supplies are replenished in a timely manner.

Pet Care

  • Assist with the care of two well-behaved dogs, including feeding and light supervision when the family is in residence.

Family & Event Support

  • Support the family in preparing for guests and seasonal entertaining.

  • Ensure the home is guest-ready at all times and provide assistance as needed during events or visits.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of housekeeping experience in a private home or similar high-service environment.

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Excellent references from past employers; background check required.

  • Team-oriented and able to collaborate smoothly in a formal household.

  • Discreet, dependable, and committed to long-term employment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $90,000 + DOEannually.

  • Housing: On-site accommodations provided.

  • Benefits: Medical Stipend 

  • Paid Time Off: 2 weeks vacation + 1 week sick leave.
