Full-Time Housekeeper

Location: Palm Beach, Florida
Position Type: Private Household | Full-Time | Live-Out

Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000
Candidate Requirement: Local candidates only

A private family in Palm Beach is seeking an experienced, discreet, and highly organized Full-Time Housekeeper to support the daily care and maintenance of a beautifully maintained residence. The ideal candidate will have experience working in high-end private homes or hospitality environments and will take pride in maintaining a home to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and organization.

This role requires a proactive, service-oriented professional who can work both independently and as part of a household team while maintaining a low-profile presence in the home. The position is live-out, and the family is seeking candidates who already reside locally in the Palm Beach area.

Schedule

Monday – Friday
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM while the family is in residence
8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM when the family is not in residence

Flexibility with schedule is essential. Occasional travel to other family residences on the East Coast may be requested.

Key Responsibilities

The Housekeeper will take a proactive approach to maintaining the residence and ensuring the home is always guest ready.

Housekeeping & Household Care

  • Perform detailed daily housekeeping and periodic deep cleaning throughout the residence and surrounding exterior living areas including patios and pool areas
  • Sweep, vacuum, mop, and polish floors
  • Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies
  • Clean and maintain natural stone surfaces including floors, walls, and countertops
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and decorative elements
  • Refresh sitting areas and maintain decorative pillows and soft furnishings
  • Clean and polish silver, glassware, and specialty household items
  • Clean appliances including refrigerators and maintain kitchen organization
  • Maintain and prepare coffee station daily
  • Make beds, change linens and towels, and provide evening turndown service when requested

Laundry & Wardrobe Care

  • Full laundry service including washing, stain treatment, ironing, steaming, and folding
  • Care for fine linens, towels, and designer garments
  • Closet organization and wardrobe maintenance as needed

Kitchen & Household Support

  • Set tables when requested
  • Assist with entertaining including event setup, serving, and cleanup
  • Fill, run, and unload dishwashers
  • Restock multiple refrigerators throughout the residence with refreshments

Home Organization & Maintenance

  • Maintain interior plants
  • Empty and sanitize trash containers
  • Clean sinks, mirrors, tubs, showers, toilets, and other bathroom fixtures
  • Clean interior windows
  • Maintain and organize cleaning supplies and household equipment
  • Clean and maintain washers and dryers while keeping laundry areas tidy
  • Restock bathroom and medicine cabinet supplies
  • Maintain inventory lists and report items needing replenishment
  • Organize closets, drawers, and storage spaces when requested
  • Report maintenance issues or household concerns promptly

Additional Duties

  • Greet family members and guests when appropriate
  • Perform seasonal deep cleaning of the residence, closets, storage spaces, gym, and outbuildings
  • Occasionally assist with grandchildren when visiting
  • Support the household team and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of professional housekeeping experience in a luxury private residence, yacht, resort, or similar high-end hospitality environment
  • Strong understanding of professional cleaning standards and household organization
  • Excellent verifiable professional references
  • Demonstrates a discreet, low-profile demeanor with a strong sense of professionalism
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity
  • Friendly personality with a clear understanding of professional boundaries
  • Comfortable working as part of a team with a hands-on, “pitch-in” mentality
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to learn household systems quickly
  • Proactive and service-focused with a willingness to go above and beyond
  • Comfortable using step stools or ladders when required
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with principals
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation
  • Authorized to work legally in the United States
  • Willing to complete a post-offer pre-employment drug screening
  • Seeking a long-term position within a private household
