Family Assistant / Housekeeper

Full-Time | Long-Term Position | Live-In or Live-Out | Miami Beach, Florida 33140

Salary: $85,000 annually
Schedule: Monday through Friday, generally 40 hours per week, with occasional Saturday morning coverage as needed

We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and proactive Family Assistant/Housekeeper to support a lovely family of four in Miami Beach, Florida. The family has two school-aged daughters, ages 12 and 14, and is looking for a warm, organized, and capable individual to help with the daily running of the household and the family's busy schedules.

This is a wonderful long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a family environment, takes pride in maintaining a well-organized home, and is equally comfortable assisting with family logistics, preparing healthy meals, managing laundry, and supporting the household's day-to-day needs.

This is not a traditional nanny position or a heavy housekeeping role. The family is looking for someone who is hands-on, naturally proactive, and able to anticipate what needs to be done without constant direction.

Primary Responsibilities

Family Assistance & Driving

• Assist with morning routines, school drop-offs, and afternoon pick-ups.

• Drive the children to extracurricular activities, appointments, and other engagements.

• Support the family's daily schedules and transportation needs.

• Maintain a safe, punctual, and dependable driving approach.

Cooking & Kitchen Management

• Prepare healthy, simple, home-cooked family meals.

• Plan and prepare dinner during the day.

• Manage grocery shopping, kitchen inventory, and household food supplies.

• Maintain clean, tidy, and organized refrigerators, freezers, and pantries.

• Anticipate the family's meal requirements and ensure ingredients are available.

Laundry & Clothing Care

• Manage the family's daily laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and putting clothing away.

• Iron and steam clothing as needed.

• Change bed linens and towels regularly.

• Maintain organized closets, wardrobes, and linen cupboards.

• Assist with seasonal wardrobe organization.

Household Organization & Daily Support

• Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organized home.

• Assist with light daily housekeeping and upkeep between scheduled housekeeping visits.

• Run household errands, including dry cleaning, shopping, returns, and package collections.

• Monitor household supplies and replenish inventory as needed.

• Coordinate with housekeepers, vendors, and other household service providers.

• Anticipate the family's needs and prepare for the following day's activities.

• Assist with additional household responsibilities as needed.

Schedule & Working Environment

The position is generally a 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, beginning in the morning to accommodate school drop-off and continuing through afternoon school pick-up, family activities, and dinner preparation. Occasional Saturday morning coverage will be required as needed, with advance notice whenever possible.

The family is looking for someone mature, responsible, and self-directed who is comfortable managing their own daily schedule, breaks, and work hours. The ideal candidate will know how to prioritize responsibilities, organize their day efficiently, and meet the family's needs without constant supervision.

Some flexibility with working hours is appreciated, depending on the family's schedule and occasional changing needs.

The family is open to either a live-in or live-out arrangement. For candidates interested in living in, a private bedroom and bathroom will be provided, along with meals. Live-out candidates are equally welcome to apply.

Ideal Candidate & Requirements

We are looking for someone who is:

• Warm, kind, trustworthy, and discreet.

• Experienced working in private family residences, with excellent, verifiable professional references.

• A U.S. citizen or otherwise legally authorized to work in the United States.

• An excellent, confident, and safe driver with a valid U.S. driver's license and clean driving record.

• Naturally organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.

• Comfortable preparing healthy, simple family meals.

• Experienced in laundry, clothing care, and household organization.

• Comfortable interacting with and supporting older children.

• Punctual, dependable, flexible, and able to work independently.

• Capable of managing their own schedule, breaks, and daily responsibilities.

• Hands-on, with a positive attitude and a genuine willingness to help wherever needed.

• Willing to undergo a comprehensive background check.
