Housekeeper with Childcare Support

A wonderful, dynamic family living in Manhattan is seeking to hire a full-time Housekeeper with Childcare Support to assist in the daily care and smooth operation of their busy household. This is a hands-on role supporting both household upkeep and light childcare for a well-run, entrepreneurial family.

The Family

Both principals work from home and are driven, fast-paced entrepreneurs. The family has three children between the ages of 9 and 14, all of whom attend school full-time. The household is well-staffed, organized, and energetic, and they value flexibility, discretion, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Schedule & Hours

This is a full-time position with two shift options available:

  • Morning Shift:
    7:00 AM or 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM

OR

  • Afternoon / Evening Shift:
    1:00 PM – 8:00 PM

The family is open to discussing which schedule is the best fit based on the candidate’s strengths and household needs. There is opportunity for overtime as needed.

Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend coverage. Some flexibility during the day may be possible for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Full housekeeping duties, including daily upkeep, laundry, and household organization

  • Maintaining household inventories and supplies

  • Coordinating with other household staff

  • Assisting with children’s schedules, school routines, and after-school activities

  • School pick-ups and transportation to activities (as needed)

  • Light homework support and general supervision

  • Running errands and overseeing vendors

  • Receiving packages and managing household deliveries

  • Providing general household support to ensure smooth daily operations

  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and a proactive self-starter

  • Flexible, hands-on, and comfortable stepping in wherever needed

  • Warm, confident, and genuinely wonderful with children

  • Calm and capable in a fast-paced household

  • Discreet, professional, and service-oriented

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Local to Manhattan or within a 20–30 minute commute

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Must possess an excellent command of written and spoken English

Additional Notes

  • No travel is currently required; however, the family may be open to discussing travel in the future if the candidate is interested.

  • The childern are in school all day, and the family travel in the summer. 

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $70,000 – $105,000, commensurate with experience
