Job Title: Executive Housekeeper
Location: Torrington, CT
Position Type: Full-Time (Tuesday through Saturday *Saturday evenings required, 40-50 hours per week)

Job Description:
Position Overview: You will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the home are kept clean, organized, and well-maintained. You will work closely with other household staff to maintain a high level of cleanliness and assist with various household tasks as needed. The family consists of two adults and two teenagers, and the family has dogs.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing surfaces throughout the home.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and other high-traffic areas.
- Change linens and make beds to ensure a fresh and inviting atmosphere. Work well with the laundress and make sure all supplies are maintained.
- Organization and Tidiness:
- Maintain organization and orderliness throughout the home, including closets, cabinets, and storage areas.
- Assist with laundry and ironing as needed, ensuring that clothing and linens are cleaned and stored appropriately.
- Specialized Cleaning Tasks:
- Pay attention to detail when performing specialized cleaning tasks, such as caring for delicate surfaces, antiques, and fine furnishings.
- Follow specific instructions for cleaning and caring for valuable items or collections within the home. Manage seasonal cleaning and assist with seasonal décor.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with other household staff to coordinate tasks and ensure seamless operation of the household.
- Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the appropriate parties in a timely manner.
- Adherence to Standards:
- Adhere to specific instructions and preferences provided by the homeowner regarding cleaning products, techniques, and scheduling.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding the homeowner's personal information and household matters.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably in a private residence or similar setting, minimum of 5 years.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work Tuesday through Saturday and accommodate occasional schedule changes as needed.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field preferred.
- Additional training or certification in housekeeping techniques is a plus.
- Ideally have French or Italian as a 1st or 2nd language
