A hardworking couple in Fort Worth is seeking an informal, single-house manager/nanny.
The couple usually works from home; they have offices in the city and sometimes leave early in the morning for meetings and events until late evening. The family is friendly and informal and seeks someone who can take initiative, self-manage, and work well with them as a team, ensuring their children and home are cared for and that their home is properly maintained.
This home has no room for ego or drama; the family appreciates their staff and wants the ideal candidate to have long-term intent and become part of the family.
The ideal candidate will enjoy country living as the residence is isolated.
The family consists of three children: a 23-year-old son (away at college), a 17-year-old son who drives himself, and a 5-year-old daughter.
The home is approximately 7,000 square feet, and a part-time housekeeper does heavy cleaning. The family is very hands-on and manages much of the daily maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule and manage vendors. Sign off on invoices.
- Assist with calendar management/reminders for family appointments, travel, medical appointments, etc.
- Must be able to communicate verbally, by text, and via e-mail.
- Assist with light cleaning and stocking the residence
- Driving the family to the airport when they travel. (Must be confident driving pick-up trucks)
- Pick the 5-year-old girl to and from school and assist with after-school activities.
- At times, watch the 5-year-old when her parents are at an event, or if her parents are traveling, staying in their home with the 5-year-old
- From time to time, the family may request travel support nationally or internationally. When traveling, the family will pay an extra $300 per day. Must be passport-ready.
- The ideal candidate needs to be in shape and active, into sports, horses, scooters, bikes, and comfortable around horses…etc.
- While their daughter is in school, the manager/ nanny is expected to run errands, maintain the house, do basic laundry, do simple meal prep, receive packages, and manage returns.
The schedule is M-F, 8 am to 3 pm, 2-hour break, 5 pm through bedtime for the 5-year-old—some weekend support, as needed. The family will compensate for additional time when working outside a typical week.
Salary:
Yearly salary: $70,000.00- $90,000.00 D/O/E
Medical Contribution
Standard two weeks' vacation/one week of sick leave/ 2 X pay on National Holidays
Immediate start.
Must have excellent verifiable references
Conversational Spanish is desired but not a requirement
Possible relocation for outstanding candidates
