Governess – Nanny
Location: United States, East Coast (with international travel)
Schedule: Full-time; flexibility required
Start Date: Early January / First of the Year 2026
Children: Two school-aged children (a third child is currently attending university)
A wonderful UHNW family based on the East Coast of the United States is seeking an experienced Governess/Nanny to support their school-aged children. The ideal candidate will be a polished, calm, and education-focused professional who can integrate seamlessly into a quiet, respectful household.
Responsibilities

Oversee afternoon routines

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM, with flexibility

Support homework, academic reinforcement, A/P curriculum and educational enrichment

Encourage social, academic, and extracurricular engagement (e.g., sourcing a specialist or professor to provide enrichment in coding, AI utilization, STEM-based learning, and cultural exposure)

Research and plan travel to areas of interest for a highly active family, including scuba diving, kite surfing, and ski destinations

School drop-off and pick-up, driving to activities, and appointment coordination

Manage children’s calendars, schedules, and logistics

Organize playdates and extracurricular commitments

Prepare simple, healthy snacks

Maintain organization of children’s belongings and study areas

Provide gentle guidance, appropriate boundaries, and a calm, stable presence
Ideal Candidate

Background in education (Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred); familiarity with Montessori, Waldorf, or MUSE approaches
-
Calm, polished, warm, and professional demeanor

Discreet, with the ability to maintain excellent boundaries

Self-managing with a proactive approach

Team-oriented with no ego; able to integrate into a quiet household

Comfortable with international travel

Familiarity with families who have strong ties to Europe
Requirements

Fluent in English - German/Spanish advantageous

Significant experience with school-aged children, including homeschooling support (Children - 8 and 12 years old)

Valid driver’s license and a safe, reliable driving record, passport ready

Strong ability to manage calendars, school logistics, and scheduling

Experience in similar UHNW households with excellent verifiable references

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (U.S. passport holder or legal resident)

Availability to travel internationally without restrictions

Tech-savvy, forward-thinking, education-focused, and able to think creatively and outside the box
Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $140,000–$190,000 DOE
