Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and nurturing Governess / Junior Affairs Operational Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day planning and coordination of all activities related to the wellbeing, development, and logistics surrounding the children in a prestigious private household. This is a dynamic, hands-on role requiring close collaboration with a team of governesses and various support departments to ensure seamless operations at home and while traveling.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background, a calm yet proactive demeanor, and the ability to manage multiple schedules, environments, and personalities with efficiency and discretion.
Key Responsibilities:

Activity & Schedule Coordination:
Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the children's daily routines, educational programs, social engagements, and recreational activities, both at home and abroad. -
Operational Oversight:
Ensure readiness and appropriateness of all environments, locations, and assets used by the children, maintaining high standards for safety, hygiene, and suitability. -
Travel & Outing Support:
Plan and coordinate logistics for travel, including preparation of necessary materials, accommodations, transportation, and on-the-go learning or enrichment activities. -
Collaboration with Support Teams:
Work closely with nannies, tutors, security, drivers, and household staff to ensure consistent, child-centered support and alignment with family preferences and protocols. -
Inventory & Resource Management:
Monitor and manage educational materials, toys, learning tools, and activity supplies, coordinating replenishments with the relevant support staff. -
Social & Cultural Planning:
Organize and facilitate child-appropriate social interactions, celebrations, and cultural outings that support emotional and developmental growth. -
Reporting & Communication:
Provide regular updates and reports to the Family Affairs Director or designated supervisor. Communicate any concerns or observations regarding the children's wellbeing. -
Policy & Safety Compliance:
Adhere strictly to all household guidelines and maintain a vigilant approach to safety, security, and discretion at all times.
Candidate Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Education, Child Development, or a related field

Prior experience as a governess, educator, or in a similar childcare/coordination role within a private household

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Native-level fluency in English required; additional languages are a plus

Strong sense of initiative, professionalism, and attention to detail

Discreet, trustworthy, and capable of working in fast-paced, high-expectation environments

Flexible and willing to travel internationally as required
