Our U.S. mainland-based client has two vacation condos located within a 5-star resort in the Dorado Beach area of Puerto Rico. She is seeking to hire a full-time, multi-faceted Housekeeper with light management skills and basic cooking abilities.
The client typically visits several times throughout the year for week-long stays and requires flexibility in scheduling during those periods.
The two condos consist of six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, all of which must be maintained to a high standard, ensuring the residences are always guest-ready.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in housekeeping, wardrobe care, and maintaining household inventories. Must have an excellent command of both Spanish and English. The residences should always be presented in pristine, guest-ready condition.
The family is seeking someone who can self-manage, take initiative, and maintain a high level of attention to detail. Responsibilities include coordinating vendors, assisting with travel-related preparations, greeting guests, and ensuring a warm and welcoming environment. The household is friendly and semi-formal; discretion, professionalism, and respect for boundaries are essential.
The candidate should have excellent driving skills and be comfortable running errands, including grocery shopping (e.g., Costco) using the family vehicle. Familiarity with Puerto Rico—whether local or with strong ties to the island—is highly preferred. Knowledge of the area, local resources, and vendor networks is advantageous.
The candidate should be tech-savvy, capable of managing calendars, communicating via email and text, and coordinating vendors. Occasional travel to the family’s residence in New England may be required.
Requirements:
- Strong housekeeping and laundry skills; basic cooking abilities required
- Physically fit, able to climb stairs and clean windows
- Neat, polished, and well-groomed presentation
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to self-manage
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a private home with verifiable references
- Bilingual (Spanish and English)
- Valid driver’s license; comfortable using Uber and technology
- Must pass a detailed criminal and credit background check
Salary and Benefits:
- $75,000 – $95,000 DOE
- Medical stipend
- 2 weeks paid vacation and 1 week sick leave
- Possible relocation assistance for highly qualified candidates
