Facilities Foreman – Live On-Site

A large, private estate in Aspen is seeking a full-time, live-on site Property Facilities Foreman to hands-on manage the day-to-day property maintenance. This will include the oversight of seasonal landscape preservation, electrical, plumbing, humidifier, mechanical, and HVAC.  Must be knowledgeable in general maintenance management with broad experience in all facets of maintaining the aesthetic continuity of a private estate in a multi-seasonal community.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and accept overall accountability for the upkeep and preservation of a multi-building, private, mountain estate and providing daily, proactive maintenance
  • Execute on preventative, reactive and predictive maintenance plans to ensure that the facilities and grounds are always in pristine operating condition
  • Maintain landscape and water conditions including trail grooming, recreational watercraft and seasonal equipment management
  • Work collaboratively with house staff and appropriate stakeholders to prioritize, plan, modify and schedule repairs
  • Manage and communicate clearly with your PA
  • Determine when repairs and upkeep can be performed with in-house staff. Must maintain a preapproved vendor list utilizing their expertise as and when needed
  • Prepare and uphold maintenance budgets, manage expenses, track all vendor invoices and request approval for payment

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in building maintenance, preferably managing a large, mountainous estate, along with a strong knowledge of general construction including hands-on work with electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems including household appliances, HVAC, and full-house humidifier technologies
  • Experience with seasonal changes and specific environmental and house requirements to prepare for winter closures and spring openings regarding landscape, irrigation and remediation, trail preservation, pool and spa
  • Skill in electronics – trouble-shooting smart home technology, remote access, and security systems
  • Capability to perform high-mobility and physically exerting tasks such as climbing ladders and stairs, lifting heavy objects, operating a tractor, and clearing snow from roof
  • Results-oriented and willing to roll up sleeves to tackle any task – no job too big or too small
  • Willingness to be available varied hours when necessary and on-call for any emergency
  • Strong ability to communicate in a professional manner with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Technical School or equivalent from a two-year college or 5-7 years related experience and/or training
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and maintain clean driving record

Salary:

$90,000 to $110,000K D/O/E
