St Petersburg/Clearwater area, FL – Executive Housekeeping Manager
Our client, a high-end senior living community, is in search of an experienced, knowledgeable executive housekeeping manager with healthcare experience to maintain the housekeeping department within the community which consists of 54 units and the supporting team.
The ideal candidate should be confident managing a large team either in the domestic service industry or have previous experience managing a housekeeping department within the healthcare or hospitality industries. Must be highly-detailed, appreciate the finer things, enjoy being around seniors, be a good listener, have the ability to document, be self-motivated, and enjoy being part of a large organization.
Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of AHCA policy and procedure relating to housekeeping for healthcare facilities – desirable
- Implement SOPs
- Maintain and update detailed manuals on each residence
- Broad knowledge of cleaning products
- Knowledge of proper chemical storage, hazardous materials storage and disposal
- Inventory management
- Understanding of HR procedures
- Scheduling and prioritization – managing PTO
- Experience with staff training, team building, and staff assessments
- Weekly, monthly, quarterly reports – updating senior management of departmental changes
- Knowledge of risk management, negating contribution of risks from or within the housekeeping department
- Ability to work with heads of other departments
Requirements
- 5-7 years minimum experience in housekeeping management
- Experience in healthcare desired
- Clean background and driver’s license are required
