Full-Time Live-In Housekeeper or Domestic Couple. Upper E. Side, NY 10021

A wonderful HNW family with a 6-year-old child is seeking a full-time live-in or live-out housekeeper/cook for a semi-formal home. You would be joining an existing staff. The family are young are generally informal, but when they have a party or event - service can be semi formal.  

The family are primarily based in a 6-story townhouse on the Upper East Side, summer in Orange County, NY (July) and in Southampton, NY (August).

We are seeking someone who is proficient in English and able to communicate via e-mail and text effectively and easily. Must have excellent listening skills and be discreet. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and physically fit (able to easily climb six flights of stairs.) Must be a positive thinker, proactive, observant, and able to work independently. The ideal candidate will have a team mentality and be flexible when needed.

There is the option to live-in or live-out:

Full use of the top floor private apartment offered. 2 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and private living room. Private accomodations offered in Orange County in July, private room and bath offered in Southhampton offered in August.  

Duties include:

• Cleaning and organizing
• Daily tidying
• Laundry and ironing
• Organization of closets and home office spaces
• Plan a weekly menu, including grocery shopping and cooking.
• Inventory management of household supplies
• Running errands for the family as needed
• Pet care (cats/small dog)
• Manage second housekeeper to ensure full completion of tasks.
• Occasionally serve dinner to family and guests.
• Occasional childcare coverage if needed (age 6; dinner and bedtime)

Schedule:

Monday through Friday work schedule - 8.30am to 6.30pm with a 1 hour break), 40- 50 hours a week, with flexibility for occasional weekends.

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience as a private housekeeper for a HNW family.
• Covid Vaccinated
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Pass a full background check.
• Have verifiable references.

Salary and Benefits:

$90k - $120k D.O.E

Full health insurance after one month of full-time employment

Two weeks paid vacation annually (Dates to be mutually agreed upon, ideally to be taken when the family travels abroad).
