Overview

We seek a skilled and reliable full-time Executive Housekeeper/Cook to manage a beautiful Highland Park/Preston Hollow home.

This home belongs to an affluent widowed senior lady. Our client seeks a candidate who embodies experience, discretion, and sophistication. Although she can be formal at times, on a daily basis, she is very engaging and friendly. She wants to find someone who is upbeat, has common sense and can read the room. The primary responsibilities will be to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of our client's residence, as well as providing lunch and dinner daily for the lady of the house. 

Local candidates or those with prior experience working in Dallas are preferred. 

Schedule

• Flexibility with a 40-hour work week
• Availability for some weekends and holidays, as needed, particularly when the family is in residence

Responsibilities

• Perform various cleaning tasks: dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing surfaces
• Cooking two meals per day, usually lunch and dinner, for the lady of the house. Occasionally support brunch or dinner for a small group of people. 
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, and living areas to meet or exceed hygiene standards
• Make beds, change linens, and tidy rooms
• Stock and replenish supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning products
• Empty and dispose of trash and recyclables
• Run all appliances weekly and create a maintenance checklist
• Manage online orders and returns (Amazon, DoorDash, Costco)
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards - trip hazards, or damages to appropriate personnel
• Communicate clearly with the corporate office, family, and on-site security
• Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with the principal, promptly addressing their concerns or requests
• Adhere to established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines, using specific cleaning products as directed
• Follow privacy and security protocols to safeguard clients' personal belongings and confidential information
• Should have excellent laundry and wardrobe management skills
• Ideally, should be able to prepare simple meals or lunches for two or three ladies from time to time

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Housekeeper or in a similar role
• Proven experience with cooking. Confident following recipes, preparing meals, and serving. 
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures
• Ability to use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift/move heavy objects if required
• Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members
• Oversee, schedule, and manage vendors when the family is away
• Flexibility with schedule, including weekends, holidays, or extended hours as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to pass a detailed criminal background check
• Clean, valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to communicate clearly in English
• Any medical training would be highly desirable 

Compensation

• Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 depending on experience
• Full Medical Benefits
• 2 Weeks Paid Time Off
