Wonderful newly created position for an experienced House Manager to assist the Chief of Staff who is based in London. Our client is looking for someone who can manage a modern waterfront property on Indian Creek Island, Miami, Florida.

Must have ability to communicate clearly, have excellent time management skills, be task driven and self-motivated. Having a clear command of English, both written and spoken, is important for this role; the ability to communicate in Spanish or Portuguese would be an asset.

When the family is in residence the home is fully staffed. During the off season, the house will consist of two full-time housekeepers and the House Manager. The family allows other family members to use the home, so the house must be in a state of readiness at all times.

Responsibilities:
• Full responsibility for the property maintenance, preventative maintenance
• Part of the role involves managing the maintenance of watercraft, clear communications with the Chief of Staff & Global team is required
• Understanding seasonal opening and closing procedures specific to the Florida area
• Being proficient using Microsoft Suite, Apple technology, and smart home technology is important to our clients
• The ideal candidate will be familiar with Miami or have previous history in the area
• Have experience working with art curators and understand how to manage a high value art collection. (Experience working with art movers, insurance and handling is necessary.)
• Wine cellar experience and management
• Basic HR responsibilities: staff scheduling, PTO tracking; sourcing of local staff for support when family are in residence; for example, employment verification and work eligibility
• Follow a formally created procedure manual for family and guests
• Have a clear understanding of confidentiality, privacy, trust, and loyalty. Always have your employers’ interests at heart
• Having respectful relations with vendors and their management
• Minimal cleaning support, stocking of kitchen and pantry; having an understanding of watercraft, knowledge of local plantings, vehicle care and maintenance; remote organic pest control misting system, structural knowledge, the ability to read architectural drawings; arrange and maintain flowers, updating inventory lists, warehouse management

This opportunity calls for a minimum of 5 years’ house/estate management experience, college degree, clean driver’s license, non-smoker, verifiable references, legal to work in the USA.

Candidates will need to pass additional global security screening performed by an independent security firm to qualify for this position. Excellent credit and an un-blemished background are both essential to qualify for this role.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with flexibility to work extra days that can be banked and taken off when the house is not in use off -season.

Salary range: $110,000-$140,000 D/O/E
Contribution towards Medical and 401K after 6 months
